production logo 'Black Door Productions'

This is my production logo , i created it using imovie i have choose to use a picture of a black door as it sends the messages to the audience that they are being allowed through the 'Black Door' and to go on a journey whilst watching the film transported. I chose to use the picture of the black door and edit the colour to black and white as i feel that it is more sophisticated also paired with the text i have chosen i feel it does carry on my sophisticated 'feel' .

Target audience

My target audience for my opening sequence is under twenty five year olds in particular females more so then men.
However its is based around the fashion world enviroment which will appeal more to females and some males who take an interest in the fashion world , and also those who will take an interest in building a career and becoming part of the world of fashion themselves ,
through what ever path whether it is in front or behind the camera , the fashion industry is one that many youngster strive to become a part of which is where my idea for my film comes in showing the one characters struggles to become part of the 'perfect' industry.

basic ideas for my opening sequence

Basic idea
My ideas is to create an opening sequence for a film based around the fashion industry and to have a character who newly joins the industry see her struggles with self image and with the job itself and with fitting in to the so called 'perfect' and how she plans to work her way up in the industry ,
with twist and turns throughout my influence for my opening scene is from The devil wears prada as it is a film where a character join the industry, i have made a detailed report of the opening sequence of it.

opening sequences

Each film has an opening sequence that reflects the genre of it . The opening sequence is a crucial part of any film , for example the opening sequence of 'Trainspotting' is crucial to the film if a person was to miss the  opening sequence they could become confused as to where the film starting , how it began? It is a fast paced opening and doesn't have any credits and starts during a scene and chops and changes of images whilst having a voice over. Although i found this opening sequence interesting i don't think i would use this idea when creating my opening sequence. Another opening sequence i looked out was Sweeney Todd' this was all credits and images as what the film was to entail the colours where significant black and white and red flashes showing there is blood spilt during the film reflecting on the genre of the film. Office space's opening sequence was the 'norm' that most films have background music credits along with the introduction of a couple of characters.
