who would be the audience for your media product?

Target audience
Hannah Holland
Student
My target audience for my project would be teenage girls and boys who have a keen interest in fashion and the world that goes along with it. And also would like to be a part of the fashion industry whether it would be working in fashion making clothes modelling the clothes getting an internship or starting at the very bottom by being a runner in a fashion magazines , this film would be for  people that would strive solely to get in to the fashion in some area. The target audience member i have chose is Hannah Holland she is 18 and has a big interest in fashion and normally shops  topshop ,zara , asos , occasionally urban outfitters and she sometimes styles the clothes she has  brought for these shops and also customise them as she just wants to add her stamp on to the clothes .
They might also depending what area of fashion that they go in they might even make their own clothes.
Hannah's has a very diverse taste in music she likes whats current in the charts as well as kisstory morning on kiss radio station, she also likes listening to other genres of music like indie she isn't set onto one type of music.

How does your media product represent particular social groups?

Comparing characters with similarities to the main character of fashion face, I have chosen to compare characteristics of the reality television series 'The Hills' Lauren Conrad . Both my main character and Lauren Conrad work in the fashion industries and both work for big name magazines that dominate the fashion industry and as a contrast they are seen as rivals as one another. For my film i chose to dress my character in a simple outfit as fashion of internships normally dress in understated colours blacks whites beige and have a key accessory , its a more sophisticated and condensed version of what is the going trend on the catwalks like Lauren Conrad who wear all black and the key accessory is the orange head band that adds a flash of colour to the chic black outfit  . I also chose to do have and make up very simple as that of Lauren Conrad also i wanted to have my characters hair up as i feel it looks more sophisticated but also fashionable as i gave height to the top of the hair.
There are some difference between my main character and Lauren Conrad is their attitudes my character is far more opinionated for instance when in the opening scene the editor of the magazine was ringing her she answered and didn't give them to talk and just said "I'm on my way " followed by her then putting the phone down and then going on her way. This is one of the main differences between my main character and Lauren Conrad who in a similar situation she would be sincerely apologetic toward her editor and wouldn't be as abrupt.
I did partly base my character on Lauren Conrad even though she was a star of a television reality show she fitted the mold  that i wanted for my character by working in a dominating fashion magazine being an intern also and also the way she dresses and styles her hair and makeup.

production logo 'Black Door Productions'

This is my production logo , i created it using imovie i have choose to use a picture of a black door as it sends the messages to the audience that they are being allowed through the 'Black Door' and to go on a journey whilst watching the film transported. I chose to use the picture of the black door and edit the colour to black and white as i feel that it is more sophisticated also paired with the text i have chosen i feel it does carry on my sophisticated 'feel' .

Target audience

My target audience for my opening sequence is under twenty five year olds in particular females more so then men.
However its is based around the fashion world enviroment which will appeal more to females and some males who take an interest in the fashion world , and also those who will take an interest in building a career and becoming part of the world of fashion themselves ,
through what ever path whether it is in front or behind the camera , the fashion industry is one that many youngster strive to become a part of which is where my idea for my film comes in showing the one characters struggles to become part of the 'perfect' industry.

basic ideas for my opening sequence

Basic idea
My ideas is to create an opening sequence for a film based around the fashion industry and to have a character who newly joins the industry see her struggles with self image and with the job itself and with fitting in to the so called 'perfect' and how she plans to work her way up in the industry ,
with twist and turns throughout my influence for my opening scene is from The devil wears prada as it is a film where a character join the industry, i have made a detailed report of the opening sequence of it.

opening sequences

Each film has an opening sequence that reflects the genre of it . The opening sequence is a crucial part of any film , for example the opening sequence of 'Trainspotting' is crucial to the film if a person was to miss the  opening sequence they could become confused as to where the film starting , how it began? It is a fast paced opening and doesn't have any credits and starts during a scene and chops and changes of images whilst having a voice over. Although i found this opening sequence interesting i don't think i would use this idea when creating my opening sequence. Another opening sequence i looked out was Sweeney Todd' this was all credits and images as what the film was to entail the colours where significant black and white and red flashes showing there is blood spilt during the film reflecting on the genre of the film. Office space's opening sequence was the 'norm' that most films have background music credits along with the introduction of a couple of characters.
